The Czech Film and Television Academy (ČFTA) announced today the nominations for the 33rd annual Czech Lion Awards. In the 24 statutory categories, 32 films, television series, and miniseries advanced to the second round of voting out of a total of 94 works premiered in 2025. The films Franz, Sbormistr, Karavan, Letní škola, 2001, Nahoře nebe, v dolině já and the miniseries Studna received the most nominations.

The most watched program on Friday evening (January 2, 2026) after 8 p.m. was the television premiere of the film The End of the World. It was seen by more than a million viewers over the age of 15.
